HulloMail Voicemail Security

When it comes to voicemail security, we agree with The Reg when they report that “there is a blanace between ease of use and security”. Here at HulloMail, we agree that if you need to call your voicemail, it would be a pain to have to enter a PIN every time, especially if you’re roaming.

While dialling in to receive voicemail is a secondary method/back-up here at HulloMail - as ninety-nine out of 100 users access their messages within the app or via email – if you do like to use it, we provide an email alert mechanism in the event that an ‘unauthorised’ number has attempted to access your messages. So, if someone did spoof your number, an email notification will be sent and you can take immediate action.

To make sure this is set-up, go to Menu/Account/Access Control and enable ‘Notify of Access’. In our view, safety and security has also been an important factor and this safeguard helps add an addition layer of scrutiny to the process.

To be uber safe from spoofing you can disable dial-in access altogether!

Enjoy your voicemail.
